This course taught me some important concepts. The project was to design a moving arm with a magnet at the end to pick and drop the objects. The project was divided into 3 categories. The first part was to weld copper rods which is hard because copper has a high heat conductivity. This should be strong enough to hold the weight as well as keep the structure intact. The second part was to design a simple circuit that would help us achieve this control with a relay switch. And finally the third part is integrating the system with a PID Controller in order to have fast but smooth start and stop at the designated point.
